Hate Journalling? 5 Gratitude Prompts

As discussed in the previous blog post on burn out, gratitude journalling truly is a helpful way to recover. Through this process, you are literally retraining your brain away from cynicism and repaving the neuronal networks towards home!

If you hate journalling and/or gratitude journalling, I got you. Many people feel unenthusiastic about this task.

Here are five prompts that still spark gratitude but in a round about way that your brain might enjoy a little more!

  1. What's a boundary you held recently, even imperfectly? What did holding it protect?

  2. If someone who loved you watched your day today, what would they point out that you're not giving yourself credit for?

  3. What's something your body did today that you didn't have to think about?

  4. What's something you used to worry about that you no longer have to?

  5. When was the last time that you had a really good laugh? What was so funny?

Also a reminder that you don’t NEED to write these down in a journal; you can write them in a Notes app in your phone or even share them with a friend.
